Nairobi River
Today the Ambassador for Sweden and Germany, in the company of Kenya, parmenent mission to UNhabitat Ambassador Kimani, was joined by the Director Africa Region Mr Oumar Sylla, Nairobi County CECM Maureen Njeri, Nairobi River Commission Chair Dr Pamela Olet among other guest took a tour along Nairobi River to establish the status of the river and what actions to be taken.
The team also visited kamukunji grounds and the gorgon area.
The Ambassador promised to support with the transformation of the river, of importance the Ambassador insisted on the need to deal with waste management as key menace and need to be dealt with.
On her part, the CECM for Green Nairobi, outlined some of the promises the county of.nairobi has put in place ..like establishing green energy facility which is in its advance stage, support the work of Nairobi River Commiission, Revitalisation of public spaces and getting into more partnership.
