On January 16, 2023, the Safer Nairobi Initiative had the honor of participating in a visioning workshop hosted by UN-Habitat at the UN Complex, in attendance was Nairobi City Count and Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA). The purpose of the workshop was to reflect on the developed concept designs in the lower Central Business District (CBD) and collaboratively establish a shared vision to address challenges in that area. The focus of the discussion centered around six key streets: Tom Mboya, Ronald Ngala, Kenneth Matiba, Latema, Racecourse, and River Road. The primary objectives were to develop a scenario plan for cycling in the CBD and to reorganize urban mobility in the downtown area.
